Writing, being a writer, is the only thing I've wanted to do since I was about seven years old. I remember writing my first story about a bird on little scraps of paper in my grandmother's living room. But, "writer," for whatever reason, wasn't something I considered a legitimate option.

After maintaining a blog for several years, I decided it was time to focus more on writing. Real writing. In my mind, my blogging wasn't legitimate writing. Never mind the thousands of words I wrote in pursuit of projects, recipes, and general fun; I didn't think it counted. Funny thing, though, I look at other bloggers and consider them writers.

You can find me writing most days, drinking too much coffee, and generally wondering why I didn’t do this writing thing sooner since I enjoy it so much.
